Mission Hill Toque

The Mission Hill Toque Pattern is my very first knitted pattern. It is very exciting that I will now be able to provide both knit and crochet patterns for you! I have always found the fair isle style of knitting so beautiful, so it is only fitting that my first knit pattern is a fair isle toque!

The Mission Hill Toque is named after the neighbourhood in St Albert where I go to the post office to deliver all your orders.

You can find the pattern on EtsyRavelry Lovecrafts, and here on the website.

Yarn

I used Lion Brand Yarn Wool Ease Thick and Quick for this project.  Thick and Quick is a great yarn to work with because it is warm, works up quickly and comes in some great colours! For my Mission Hill Toque I decided to go with the colour combination Grey Marble and Eggplant.

Thick and Quick is a wool and acrylic blend yarn, meaning it has the warmth of wool with the ease of care of acrylic yarn. It is made out of 80% acrylic and 20% wool. It is machine washable and dry-able, however for most of my knit or crochet items I like to wash by hand and lay flat to dry!

Pattern Testers

Here are some of the toques my pattern testers made. I love the different colour choices they all made!

@avknits picked a beautiful green and oatmeal colour combination.

 Mission Hill Toque

@theknottedandhookedshoppe choose this beautiful mustard and cream combo, the toque also looks great with a faux fur pom pom!

Mission Hill Toque

@shree72  had enough yarn left over so she decided to make a toque in the reverse colour! Such a great idea and both toques look amazing!
